Seperti (mungkin) kebanyakan perempuan lainnya, aku baru tahu dan tertarik baca buku ini setelah selesai nonton drama Korea ‘You Who Came From The Stars’ (별에서온그대). Udah gitu telat pula nontonnya. Jadi aku dobel-dobel deh telatnya. Tapi nggak apa-apa, nggak pernah ada kata terlambat untuk buku bagus dan drama bagus, kan? :))

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah.

Sekali ini, lagi, aku nggak bisa berhenti mengucap syukur atas kelahiran ‘anak’ keduaku: Teater Boneka! Novel yang merupakan hasil dari gojlokan selama karantina Gramedia Writing Project ini aku tulis bareng Emilya Kusnaidi (Meme) dan Kak Orinthia Lee, dua teman berbakat yang juga sama beruntungnya denganku bisa mengusung genre Metropop untuk Penerbit Gramedia Pustaka Utama.

There’s Something Between Us

Merinding semerinding-merindingnya. Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah.

Akhirnya, anak pertamaku tersayang, There’s Something Between Us, berhasil duduk manis di salah satu rak berlabel Novel Pilihan di Gramedia Plaza Ambarrukmo. Akhirnya, impianku sejak kelas 6 SD akhirnya tercapai hari ini, bisa kirim foto ke grup WhatsApp keluarga dan bilang, “Bapak, Ibu, novel anakmu sudah terbit di toko buku.” yang diteruskan ucapan syukur tak berkesudahan dari Bapak dan Ibu. Bapak bahkan langsung berangkat ke Gramedia untuk membuktikan sendiri kalau TSBU bener-bener sudah ada di sana :’)

Me Before You tells the story of two very different characters: Lou, a small town girl caught between dead-end jobs and Will, a high-profile, successful man who becomes wheelchair bound following an accident. Will has decided his life is not worth living until Lou is hired for six months to be his new caretaker. Worlds apart and trapped together by circumstance, the two get off to a rocky start. But, Lou becomes determined to prove to Will that life is worth living and as they embark on a series of adventures together, each finds their world changing in ways neither of them could begin to imagine.
